Tornado Picture

Here is a pretty good photo of the tornado that went through downtown Iowa City. Our insane friend Brent was outside trying for some cool photos instead of hiding out. The closest it got to our house was about 5 miles, but we were about 1/4 mile away from it when it hit. We had fun hanging out in the hospital watching the very saaaaaadd Iowa news channel try to cover this. They made it sound like some tornadoes had been spotted and they heard that some people were trapped in a DQ. So we left to go home, but what we went through looked more like a war zone and the DQ...gone all except for the basement and the we're open sign that sat on the cash register. Iowans from all over have come to town this weekend to see the distruction. The mayor actually had to make a formal request for people to stay away from the damage so that they could clean it up. People are everywhere taking pictures. On our way home from a friend's Friday night, we drove through down town and there were whole families sitting out on the corners w/ drinks and candy to watch a crane knock down a building. There REALLY isn't anything to do here!!
